If you don’t think MAID is happening in Chilliwack, here’s two examples of it shared by the Cherish Project (a part of Chilliwack Pro Life). They cited one case last week where a person who has no terminal illness but is deeply depressed. Her MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) appointment is booked for next week.

Another is a woman living with chronic back pain who has booked her MAID appointment for next week as well as she is feeling overwhelmed and hopeless.

Please pray for both individuals that someway, somehow, they realize that life is worth living even in your darkest hour. It was suggested at last week’s Council meeting that if you have the time and compassion to do so, to contact the Cherish Project and see if you can be that person that connects by phone or one-on-one
